Created in honour of Holgate sales manager ‘Jules’ Nelson (a former wine man who surrendered to the dark brewing arts) this creamy confection takes on Belgian monastic brewing traditions and delivers a counterpunch full of seductive caramel malt flavours. Reminiscent of a dessert wine, our 2011 release is aged in French-oak barrels from award-winning local winery Curly Flat, balancing rich dried fruit with a fiendish oak and pinot character.
