With a heavyweight lineup of guest brewers scheduled to attend our flagship winter festival - Darker Days - this year, we were stoked to be able to collaborate with two of Melbourne's most unique and innovative brewers - Molly Rose and Mr Banks. We'd thrown around ideas, created a recipe, printed labels and we were ready to brew. But then COVID struck. Less than 48 hours before the festival kicked off, Victoria was locked down. And life hasn't been the same since.

We tried our best to bring Darker Days to life - scheduling and rescheduling three times - but with our guest brewers locked down in Melbourne, our artists locked out in NSW and heavy restrictions on us here in regional Vic, we eventually had to concede defeat and put the festival on ice.

But the beer lives on! With a recipe concocted by Bright, Molly Rose and Mr Banks, Jam Band Hazy IPA with Bergamot is the inaugural Darker Days collaboration.

A hazy, juicy IPA by an all-star line-up of the brewers that were scheduled to attend the postponed Darker Days 2021, and lead by a stellar line-up of hops. On lead vocals, Strata brings the tropical juice. Mosaic hops direct the backup dancers, while Idaho 7 lays down the beat on drums. Finally, a late addition of Bergamot citrus zest on jazz flute kicks things up a notch. Expect a luscious hazy IPA with juicy flavours and a hint of seductive perfume from fresh Bergamot.

Brewer's Notes: Hazy deep blonde colour with frothy white head. Aromas of tropical and citrus fruit. Full bodied with juicy, fruity flavour complemented by a hint of perfumed bergamot. Low bitterness with lingering flavours of pineapple juice and citrus.
